When I'm not busy having my reality happily engulfed by a certain someone, I stumble upon some tremendous digital goodies:

A Girl Named Bob

Magic Short Bus

Apparently they're friends/partners in crime, and funny as hell. A few faves just on first perusal:

Sims and Gomorrah

"It seems the only innocents left in the online Sim world are the 'newbies' who are summarily locked in a freezer, either before or after their roommates steal their shit and sell it off."

the hardest part about being president is comforting dead people

when someone steals your bandwidth, give them a background to remember

trump or monkey?

"I believe the hair starts growing at the base of his neck, snakes forward, flips back, and then undulates all along the top of his head, finally coming to rest in that beautiful duck tail coming out from the back of his head."

It's pretty safe to say that you work in a different sort of building when the sound of loud drums and singing goes echoing though the halls at 9:45 in the morning.

In my digital journey hither and yon, I have found that:

1) Asian Bastard has come out of hiding, and has assumed the identity of Bryan Byun. I guess Alan Thicke wasn't working for him anymore.

2) Some people make TRON costumes, and appear in public in a body stocking, when perhaps that is not the most flattering look.

Found via The Byuninator.

3) One of the best text games ever, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, can now be played using an AIM bot.

Found via The Byuninator.

4) Now, even my evil self can have a goatee, thanks to this site.

5) I now have songs to wear pants to. I love this guy.

Music to nostalgicize by: Red Robot - Milwaukee Youth Center Choir.

Song Fight, Red Robot

Oh glory be, it's an Internet Nostalgia moment!

Nothing like some blasts from the past to remind you that you're aging at an alarming rate.

Way back in 2000, I discovered Robot Frank. If you have not heard of Robot Frank, then you need to get out from under the rock, cause it's mine, goddamnit. Robot Frank is full of ire. You will love him for it. Or not, but then he'd beat you to death with his left arm, so it all balances out.

Quite unbeknownst to moi, good ol' Robot Frank hooked up with Emotion Eric for an adventure in New York city. Emotion Eric is probably also full of ire, but not as dangerous.

The NYC adventure was great, and then I discovered that Eric had been having his own adventures. They were all good, but I especially enjoyed his latest adventure, The New Pad.

Go, enjoy, reminisce.

The office is so much like a morgue it's fantastic.

Okay, the shit is still hurtling at the fan, but from entirely different trajectories.

Things are somehow better, and yet they don't feel like it at all. I just want to burrow into the ground and stay there for several years.

The shit has officially hit the fan.

My friend who was working with us was fired yesterday, and this morning the person who has been something of a supervisor to me had his contract terminated.

Oh yeah, and after several weeks of incredibly warm, spring weather, Mother Nature dumped 10cm of goddamn snow on us.

What a fucking brilliant week this has been.

Four years ago today, Momo the bunny was born.

All the pets birthdays are always of note, but Momo's is the only birthday that I'm ever really sure of.

On the one hand, every birthday is a celebration of the first day that we met him after he had been abandoned in a box at a pet store. On the other hand, it's also an unfortunate reminder that he's getting older, and won't be with us forever.

Somehow I've reconciled with the mortality of the others, but maybe because Momo is the first rabbit that I've developed such a close attachment to, it's hard to imagine that life will actually go on after he's gone.

I guess he's destined to be more than a rabbit, in much the same way that Yuki was more than a cat.
